Disclaimer: Information on Automation and Extensibility Examples in the Model Library

Solution

HYSYS incorporates an advanced software architecture and Microsoft COM(R) technology to provide a component-based framework that can be easily customized, updated and maintained to meet changing user requirements. Options for tailoring HYSYS generally include:

Automation:
The use of third party tools such as Visual Basic or the HYSYS Macro Language Editor to programmatically run HYSYS.

Extensibility:
The creation of custom unit operations, property packages and kinetic reactions which become part of the simulation and function as built in HYSYS objects.

The automation and extensibility examples contained within the Knowledge Base Model Library illustrate how the object-oriented structure of HYSYS can be used to customize and extend the existing functionality of the software.

Note 1: The Knowledge Base examples are provided for academic purposes only and as such are not subject to the quality and support procedures of officially released heritage-Hyprotech products. Users are strongly encouraged to check performance and results carefully and, by downloading, agree to assume all risk related to the use these examples. We invite any feedback through the normal support channel at esupport@aspentech.com.

Note 2: Before attempting to run any of the automation examples, ensure that you have the Visual Basic 5.0 MSVBVM50.dll and 6.0 MSVBVM60.dll run-time files installed in your Windows System32 directory.
